Celebrating our Kansas Teacher of the Year Team!

We are thrilled to share that McPherson Public Schools hosted the Kansas Teacher of the Year (KTOY) team on Friday, January 17th. This visit was part of the KTOY team's tour of schools represented by this year’s outstanding educators.

Our own Maegen Stucky, a dedicated 5th-grade teacher and mentor at USD 418, was selected as a member of the 2025 KTOY team. Her commitment to excellence brought this honor to our district and community.

During their visit, the KTOY team shared many positive reflections on our schools and community. They commented on how student-centered our teachers and administration are, and noted that “Roosevelt is definitely a family!” They remarked on how “McPherson is so friendly and welcoming,” and appreciated seeing “the growth that MHS is having in their CTE department.”

One visitor shared, “After touring McPherson public schools, it is clear to see the staff and administration truly have a heart and listen to what the community says. This was seen everywhere we went.” Another summed it up by saying, “What a great place to work and make your home.”

Special thanks to local businesses Blonde Ambitions, She Shed, Heartbeat Coffee, McPherson Museum, Courtyard on Main, and AB Signs & Events for their generous support in making this event memorable! This was a wonderful occasion to celebrate exceptional educators across Kansas who are making a difference every day.
