Earlier this week, we shared that the Board of Education officially approved USD 418’s new five-year strategic plan—a roadmap to guide the future of our schools. The plan focuses on three key areas:
• Student Success
• Partnerships and Future-Ready Facilities
• Empowering Culture
Let’s take a closer look at how the plan came together.
Over the past year, the district engaged in a thoughtful and collaborative planning process. That work included:
• A districtwide survey on priorities and the Portrait of a Graduate
• Two rounds of community focus groups
• Review of district data, strengths, and challenges
• Strategic planning sessions with the Board of Education and district leaders
Staff, students, families, and community members all played a role in identifying what matters most and shaping the district’s direction for the years ahead.
This is not just a plan created for the community, it was built with the community.
